		<description>To tie it back to logging, I&#039;ve found that in most applications I don&#039;t need the complexity of a fancy logger, and instead just pass around a std::ostream reference to do logging.  This is convenient because reuse of code that depends on ostream is much easier than reuse of code that depends on a custom logging subsystem.</description>
